Eramam Kuttur

Kuttur is a village in Payyanur Taluk of Kannur district in the Indian state of Kerala. Kuttur is located 17 km east of Payyanur town, 4 km away from Mathamangalam and 40 km north of Kannur city. Like any other north malabar villages in Kerala, Eramam is also very popular for its rich diversity in nature and culture. There are around 15 temples situated at Eramam. It is the part of Eramam Kuttur gramapanchayath. It is a beautiful place with rice fields, streams and small hills. Most of the people living lives by agriculture .

The national highway(NH 66) passes through Perumba junction. Goa and Mumbai can be accessed on the northern side and Cochin and Thiruvananthapuram can be accessed on the southern side. The road to the east of Iritty connects to Mysore and Bangalore. The nearest railway station is Payyanur on Mangalore-Palakkad line. Trains are available to almost all parts of India subject to advance booking over the internet. There are airports at Mattanur, Mangalore and Calicut. All of them are international airports but direct flights are available only to Middle Eastern countries.
